Committee Member Application Process

|Stage 1||4 July to 11 August Noon||To apply for the position of Conduct and Appeal Committee Member, as a Lay Member or a Professional Member, you are first required to complete the eligibility questions. If you meet the minimum requirements, you will be invited to proceed.|
|4 July to 11 August Noon||You will be directed to the online application form. The application form consists of six questions to which you are required to answer with specific examples. Please ensure that your answers are thorough, explaining your role, what you did and the outcomes. Please keep your answers within the word limit as anything beyond will not be read. You will also be able to upload your work history.|
|31 July to 16 August noon||After the application closing date, you will be invited to take part in an online Situational Judgment Test (SJT), this will be sent to you as an email with a link to access the test. The SJT will present you with a series of realistic scenarios, based on the types of situations that you will face as a Committee Member, where a judgement must be made about the most and least appropriate course of action to take in response to the situation.|
|Stage 2||August||Your online application and test performance will be reviewed and you will be informed whether you have been successful in passing stage 1 of the application and selection process.
Due to the volume of applications expected, while you will be informed of the outcome of your application, we are unable to provide detailed feedback to all applicants.
References will be collected in August, but will only be considered if you are successful.
Depending on application numbers, you may be asked to complete additional online tests prior to the final stage. These might involve a personality questionnaire to understand your working style and preferences to explore at interview and a verbal reasoning test to measure your analytical skills and decision making.
|Stage 3||September (exact dates TBC)||You will be informed in August whether you have been progressed to the 3rd and final stage which will involve a face to face interview with the RICS Appointment panel and a case study.
You will be informed of the outcome of your interview by end of September. For unsuccessful candidates, feedback will be provided.
