Stage Date Process
Stage 1 4 April 2018 – 1 May at 17:00 UTC To apply for the position of Conduct and Appeal Committee Member, as a Lay Member or a Professional Member, you are first required to complete the eligibility questions. If you meet the minimum requirements, you will be invited to proceed.
4 April 2018 – 1 May at 17:00 UTC You will be directed to the online application form. The application form consists of six questions which you are required to answer with specific examples. Please ensure that your answers are thorough, explaining your role, what you did and the outcomes. Please keep your answers within the word limit as anything beyond will not be read. You will also be able to upload your work history.
1 May – 8 May After the application closing date, you will be invited to take part in an online Situational Judgment Test (SJT), this will be sent to you as an email with a link to access the test. The SJT will present you with a series of realistic scenarios, based on the types of situations that you will face as a Committee Member, where a judgement must be made about the most and least appropriate course of action to take in response to the situation.
Stage 2 9 May – 25 May Your online application and test performance will be reviewed and you will be informed whether you have been successful in passing stage 1 of the application and selection process.

Due to the volume of applications expected, while you will be informed of the outcome of your application, we are unable to provide detailed feedback to all applicants.

If you are selected for interview, you will be informed in late May, and you will be asked to complete two psychometric assessments online. This will involve a personality questionnaire to understand your working style and preferences to explore at interview and a verbal reasoning test to measure your analytical skills and decision making.
Stage 3 8 June, 18 June and 22 June

The final stage which will involve a face to face interview with the RICS Appointment panel and a case study.

You will be informed of the outcome of your interview by end of June/early July. For unsuccessful candidates, feedback will be provided.

Referees will be contacted if you are successful at interview.
